Canada’s Eventing Team Wins Gold at the Pan Am Games!
Congratulations to Team Canada’s Eventers! The CBC’s article of October 29, 2023, entitled “Canada wins Pan Am Games equestrian gold, qualifies eventing team for Paris Olympics” discusses the Canadian eventing team’s gold medal win at the Pan American Games in Santiago, Chile on October 29, 2023. Eventing is comprised of three events: dressage, cross-country and show jumping. Canada was second after dressage and third after cross-country. However, it was the strong performance in show jumping that boosted the Canadian eventing team to win the gold medal, upsetting the favourite of the US eventing team. Team Canada won not only a gold medal but also secured a spot in the equestrian eventing competition at the 2024 Paris Olympics. Go Canada Go!
